“Most of us lose the motivation to change when we encounter the power of change.”

A God driven approach to change
God cares about how you think. Why? Because your actions, attitudes, and expectations manifest from the very thoughts you hold in your mind. It’s the quality of your thinking that determines the quality and impact of your life.
As Christ-followers, we believe salvation is the gift of God for us, and sanctification is the work of God in us. But transformation is the command of God to us. We are the ones responsible for managing our thought-life. God tells us we are to be “transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2). We are to have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16).
But it’s hard to manage something we know little about. Our best intentions can leave us frustrated with the lack of growth and change we see in our lives. Even the Apostle Paul struggled in this - “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do,” (Romans 7:15). With 70,000 thoughts running through our mind each day, where do we begin? How do we begin? How does the mind even work?
For decades I’ve worked with companies, government agencies, education, nonprofits, churches, sports teams, and the like, helping them grow and change by understanding and applying the cognitive principles of effective thinking:
- The areas and functions of the mind
- How beliefs, habits, comfort zones and attitudes are developed
- How to change ineffective thinking to unleash your God-designed, intended state of being
- How to grow and maintain resiliency, motivation, hope, and perseverance
These same psychological principles are rooted in scripture and the very promises of God. Destiny Living is that bridge between the language of God and the language of science to give you tools and techniques for how to renew your thinking and fulfill the plan of God for your destiny life.
